The food is okay, nothing to rave about. Wait I am lying that candid yams they have is to die for. I don't know what wizard they have in that kitchen but he is definitely doing his thing. We had mussles, meatballs (drool) I tried the mac and cheese and let me tell you, I am specific about my Mac and Cheese in this sitting it proved that I should continue to be selective. This should not take from anything else. It is aesthetically pleasing, the drinks are beyond delicious and worth every penny. The staff is amazing, I hate that I forget my servers name because she was amazing. I was there Friday, 11 April 2025 @ 9pm. I had a corner table to the back wall. However, no matter where you sit the vibe is right. The lighting, the decor, everything about it. It has a speak easy vibe with all the great yes's. They hit on this one, I wish them longevity because this is the kind of place that creates community. There is music while you eat, plenty of tvs, full bar. The kindest staff. It is a must, but I will not be responsible for the mac and cheese. I have stated my opinion on that. Everyone though has different preferences so do not stop yourself from trying it on my account.
A group of friends and I came here recently for a sort of afterparty, after playing darts at Flight Club. It came together really quickly and we did not have a reservation, but I was so grateful to our host, Mina, for taking the time to look through the reservation log and figure out where they could squeeze us in. Fete had a lot of bookings that night, but Mina and our server Alexis accommodated our large party, which made the birthday girl happy! We express ordered since we only had an hour at the table, but that worked! LOL. The jerk lamb and teriyaki wings were great, as were the cocktails, which came out quickly. Big ups to the kitchen and to Alexis for getting everything out quickly. I enjoyed the background music and vibe, and actually wish we'd have been able to stay longer--I'm sure we'll be back!
Absolutely delishhh!! We frequent this spot regularly. Highly recommend. The food is over seasoned, so if you don't like this you won't like this spot. I love well seasoned food. The ambiance is like a party allll the time lol. The service is good.
I went to Fete in Boston and had a really good time! We ordered meatballs, BBQ chicken wings, Rasta pasta, fries, and the burger which, by the way, came in a briefcase. When it arrived, we were confused at first, but then they opened it up, and it was full of smoke and lights. Such a cool presentation! The burger itself was juicy, and the bread was toasted perfectly. For drinks, I had the St. Patrick's Day special margarita and a mango margarita, both were good, but the mango one was my favorite. They do offer Tapas options. The vibe was exactly my kind of scene. They played dancehall and Afro beats, which I love. If you sit toward the back of the restaurant, you can really feel the music. We started back there and loved it, but our group ended up growing, so we had to move to the front. The music isn't as loud up front, but it was still a good time. Our server was friendly and overall patient with us, especially with the seating shuffle. There's street parking around, but it looks like it might be tough to find a spot, so I recommend parking in a nearby garage instead. Overall, the food was great, the vibe was on point, and the service was solid. I'd definitely go back and I'm still thinking about that burger in the briefcase!
The name Fete suits this restaurant, when you walk in it feels like a party. The aesthetics are simple but very cute, the customer service was very good. The waitress was kind and answered all of my questions as it was my first time. Now what you've been waiting for the meal review. I started off with the shrimp, I sadly forgot the name but it was good the after taste was off putting. The. My main course was the Rasta pasta and it was delicious. It could definitely be a shareable plate because they gave a nice portion. The flavor was amazing and the kick of spice was perfect. I went on a Thursday night I guess that's their karaoke night which was fine. I definitely recommend checking it out for yourself.
Both the food and drinks are amazing!! I would definitely come back! I made a reservation for a Saturday night and they forewarned me it was very busy & there might be a wait, but everything came out in good timing. I do not like gin but I wanted to give a new drink a try and I'm glad I did. The Lala Land was soo good! We ordered the rasta pasta and salmon with mac & cheese and banan & pikliz as the sides. That tasted very good as well. They had a DJ that played good music and it had a lounge vibe. You will enjoy your time here.
I visited Fete in Boston for a friends birthday dinner. We had a very large party (about 24 people), so they sat us in the back room. I was surprised to see the food come out as quickly as it did having only one waitress. She was great. The lamb chops were AMAZING. The boulet (fried Haitian meatballs) tasted just like they were made in my mom's kitchen: delicious. Unfortunately, the fried pork was a bit dry and came with a lot of fat that could have been trimmed off. Around 10pm, the music got louder and it was Kompa night. A lot of people stood up to dance which gave lounge vibes. I loved it!
Was debating whether I should write a review of this place or not since me and my friend came here for the lounge part instead of the restaurant part. We got here at around 11pm on a Saturday night. Apparently this restaurant turns into a lounge during late hours. One of my friends was hungry so they offered us a late night menu, which with all honestly was very limited. She opted for their chicken wings (unfortunately I did not get a picture of it). She didn't really liked them, she stated they were on the salty side. The main thing I can review about Fete is the lounge part. I really enjoyed their music as it was very diverse ranging from rap, dancehalls, throwback and Afro beats. The place is not very big and on that Saturday night I think it was very packed in there and at times it was hard for me to make my way to the bathroom due to the amount of people standing around. We decided to get some drinks from the bar, which had a good selection. The average for a drinks was around 18$ which I guess is very common around Boston. The drinks tasted good but the presentation was nothing too special. Overall, me and the girls enjoyed our night at Fete and I would like to come back and try their dinner menu.
Let's be real, downtown Boston has some of the worst food options if you like flavours outside salt and pepper. But Fete is here to add that zaz to your tastebuds! We were here on a Friday evening around 7 and the place was empty. We know this place is known for its late night beats, but we were here to check out their "appy hour" (half off appetizers until 8pm). We got pretty much everything on the menu. And my god the food did not disappoint. The lamb jerk chops - a little spicy but that jerk sauce - yum. The meatballs did steal the show. The seasoning was just perfect. We got two rounds of wings, our favourite were the Hennessy flavoured ones. The drinks were also nice, they have a decent menu of unique mixes. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. The general manager also made the effort to come check in on us. The music was bumpin and it did start to get busy later around 9-10pm. Good music, great people, and delicious food. Don't sleep on this one! Will definitely be back for their bottomless brunch.
